Knowing your status is a powerful step. HIV testing is quick, confidential, and the gateway to care that lets people live long, healthy lives.

Why test

Early diagnosis means treatment can start early, when it works best. Treatment also protects partners. Testing is for everyone, not just people who feel unwell.

What happens

A trained health worker takes a small sample, usually a finger-prick of blood. Many tests give results the same day. Your result is confidential.

If the result is positive

A positive result is not the end of the road. With treatment, people living with HIV live full lives. A counsellor will talk you through your options and connect you to care.

Where to get tested
